House Mouse Designs Mint Gifts

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I made for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #329 - Anything Goes with the option of Christmas and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.  Muzzy is just so cute wrapping up the mints to give as Christmas gifts!

I started this card by die cutting a piece of white cardstock with the postage frame die from Newton's Nook Designs Framework die set.  I then stamped this adorable image of Muzzy wrapping mints for gifts and colored it with Copic markers.  With my coloring complete, I put a red ribbon through the ends of a Tim Holtz idea-ology Christmas words adornment and attached it to my card.  I then made a small bow to add next to the adornment.  Next, I mounted my colored piece onto and A2 size piece of red glitter cardstock.

Copic colors used for Muzzy:

  • Skin - E50, E51

Mistle Toad Wobbler!

Hi everyone!  I am sharing a card I made for Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #137 - Color Challenge.  The colors are Lime Green, Grass Green, Red, and White.  I absolutely love the NND Mistle Toad stamp!  It is so cute, and perfect for this challenge!

I started by cutting red glitter cardstock to A2 size for my card base.  I used the scalloped frame die from NND Frames and Flags die set to cut a piece of white cardstock.  I then used NND Holiday Foliage stencil with my favorite glitter paste to create texture and sparkle on the white cardstock.  After the glitter paste had dried, I adhered that piece to the red glitter cardstock with liquid glue.

I used the smaller scalloped frame die from NND Framework die set to cut a piece of white cardstock for inside the frame, and a piece of red glitter cardstock for the frame itself.  I stamped the sentiment on the white piece in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed.  I then adhered the white piece to the center of my card with liquid glue, and used foam tape to pop up the red glitter frame for dimension.

Next, I stamped the super cute NND Mistle Toad image, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die.  To add some fun to this card, since it is a toad, and they jump, I attached the Mistle Toad to my card with an Action Wobbler!

Copic Colors used for Toad:
  • YG01, YG11, YG05, YG06, YG09
  • Spots - G03, G05, G07, G09
Mistletoe:

Bow and Berries:

I finished off this card by adding glitter to the bow, glitter and glossy accents to the berries, and a few red crystals for even more sparkle!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Overjoyed by your Sweetness!

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created for Your Next Stamp Challenge #152 - Trios and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.  I know I used the Hammie Sweetness Overload stamp set for my last YNS Challenge card, but it is so cute I wanted to use it for this challenge too!

I started this card by cutting the patterned paper to A2 size.  I then cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 1/2" by 3 1/4".  To cut the windows, I used the Window Trio Square die from Sunny Studio.  I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then used liquid glue to adhere the window piece to the patterned paper.

Next, I stamped the adorable hamster image from YNS Hammie Sweetness Overload stamp set three times in YNS Black Olive ink.  I colored the images with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating die.  I used foam tape to adhere the hamsters to my card and pop them up for some dimension.  Looking at my card at that point it looked like something was missing, so I decided to add the silver ribbon and bow.  It was the perfect addition!

Copic colors for Hamsters:
  • E50, E51, E53
  • E13, E15, E25
  • Ears and Nose - E93

For the sentiment, I die cut a piece of black cardstock with a die from NND Framework die set.  I then gold heat embossed the sentiment along with the edges of the cardstock.  I used foam tape to attach the sentiment piece to my card.

Favorite Newton's Nook Designs Stamp Set

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created for Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #136  - Theme Challenge: Use your favorite NND stamp set.  I just want to say, I am not mixed up on the season!  Lol!!  I know we are heading into winter, but I just LOVE NND Woodland Spring stamp set so I had to use it for this challenge!  I do plan on making another card for this challenge featuring my favorite winter themed stamp set!

To start this card I cut a piece of kraft cardstock to 8.5" by 3.5" and inked the edges with Distress Oxide Ink Frayed Burlap.  Next, I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock with the scalloped frame die from NND Slimline Frames and Portholes die set on which I blended Distress Oxide Inks Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, and Milled Lavender.  I then die cut the grass using NND Land Borders die set, and the trees, birds, and squirrel using NND Forest Scene Builder die set.  For the grass, I blended Distress Oxide Inks Old Paper and Peeled Paint, then flicked it with a little water to create some texture.  I dabbed Distress Oxide Ink Weathered Wood onto the trees, blended Festive Berries and Candied Apple to create the red bird, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean for the blue bird, and Vintage Photo and Weathered Wood for the squirrel.

With the background pieces complete, I stamped out the gorgeous images from NND Woodland Spring stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, then cut them out with the coordinating die set.  I played around with placement of the background pieces and critters to get them just where I wanted them before adhering any pieces to my card.  I used foam tape to adhere the grass and give some dimension.  I used liquid glue to adhere the trees and birds in the background, and the squirrel and flowers to the grass.  I used a combination of both adhesives to attach the critters to my card.  I then stamped the sentiment in brown pigment ink.  I couldn't help but use the "Welcome Spring!" sentiment on this card.  It seemed so appropriate for such a beautiful spring scene!

Thinking of You Slimline Cards Set Two

Hi All!  This is my second of two posts today.  I made two sets of Thinking of You slimline cards.  They are for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Remembrance/Thinking of You and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Thinking of You featuring Tim Holtz products.

I started by blending the background for each card.  For the card on the left I used Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, and Tumbled Glass.  For the card on the right I used Distress Oxide Inks Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, and Milled Lavender.  Next, I flicked some silver shimmer spritz onto my backgrounds.  After the backgrounds had dried, I stamped this gorgeous butterfly stamp in black pigment ink.  I have had this stamp for a very long time and do not know where I got it from or who made it.  If you know, please let me know so I can post it!  The sentiment, which is stamped in black pigment ink as well, is from Paper Wishes.  I then adhered my finished panels onto black card bases.

These cards were fun and easy to make, and they came out beautifully with such soft and pretty ink colors!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my cards today!
