Inky Paws Challenge #170 - Color Challenge

 Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #170 - Color Challenge.  The colors are Pistachio Green, Golden Yellow, Navy Blue, and White.  You have until Friday, April 8th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

To start this card I cut a navy blue A2 size cardbase.  Next, I used the scalloped frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock on which I used Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed with the Petite Flowers Stencil to create a yellow floral background.  I then splattered the background with gold watercolor paint and set it aside to dry.

I stamped out the super cute image of the bunny in the watering can from the Hop into Spring Stamp Set.  I colored the image with Copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.  

Next, I used the Circle Frames Die Set to cut a piece of vellum, and a banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of navy cardstock for my sentiment.  I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment, which is from the Spring Roundabout Stamp Set, onto the banner.  

I assembled my card, adhering the floral background to the cardbase, and the vellum circle to the background.  I used foam tape to adhere and pop up the sentiment banner and the image for some dimension!

Life is a Better Ride...

  Hi everyone!  I am up on the Pawsome Stamps blog today sharing a card I created using the new Spring Day Stamp and Die Set and the Clouds for Days Stencil!  I love the new stencils because they are big enough to use on slimline cards, and I was able to create a background for this 5" x 7" card as well without having to try and adjust the stencil to make it fit!   

To start this card I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock and used the new Clouds for Days Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean.  I splattered some silver watercolor paint onto the background and set it aside to dry.  I die cut two layers of grass and blended on Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.  

Next, I stamped out these adorable images from the new Spring Days Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  I also stamped, colored, and die cut the flowers from the Cup of Tea Stamp Set.  

I stamped the sentiment directly onto my background in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  

I assembled my card adhering the background to a light blue A7 cardbase, and popping up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

You're Egg-stra Special

  Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created using the Hip Hop Squad Stamp and Die Set by The Rabbit Hole Designs!

To start this card I cut a piece of yellow cardstock to A2 size for my cardbase.  I then die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock and used the Garden Trellis Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo, and Shaded Lilac to create a colorful Easter background!  I splattered the ink blended background with gold watercolor paint and set it aside to dry.

Next, I stamped out this super cute bunny image from the Hip Hop Squad Stamp Set, colored it with Copic markers, then cut it out with the coordinating die set. 

I die cut a yellow banner on which I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment, also from the Hip Hop Squad Stamp Set.  

I assembled my card, adhering the background to the cardbase, and popping up the sentiment banner and image with foam tape for some dimension! 

For finishing touches on this card I added white gel pen accents, glitter to the ribbon, and a few sparkling sequins!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Inky Paws Challenge #169 - Think Spring! Reminder Post

  Hi everybody!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #169 - Think Spring! Theme.  You have until Friday, March 25th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop! 

To start this card I cut a piece of blue cardstock to A2 size for my cardbase.  I used the scalloped frame die in the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock on which I used the Clouds Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass.  I splattered some silver watercolor paint onto the background and set it aside to dry.  I then used the Land Borders Die Set to cut two layers of grass out of smooth white cardstock, and blended on Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks.  

Next, I stamped out the super cute Spring Pile Up image, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die set.  I stamped, colored, and die cut the butterflies from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, and the eggs and chick in the grass from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set.  

I die cut a banner using the large banner die in the Frames and Flags Die Set, and stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment, which is from the Spring Pile Up Stamp Set.  

I assembled my card adhering the cloudy background to the cardbase, and popped up the images and sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!

Colorful Adventure Card

 Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created using the new Adventure - Scripty Word with Shadow Layer Dies by The Rabbit Hole Designs!

For this card I used the Circle Mosaic Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, and Candied Apple to create a bright and colorful background!  

Next, I die cut the word "Adventure" with the Adventure - Scripty Word with Shadow Layer Dies, using brown glitter cardstock for the shadow.

I assembled my card using brown glitter cardstock for the base, and foam tape to pop up the sentiment for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added a few sparkling sequins!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Inky Paws Challenge #169 - Think Spring!

 Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #169 - Think Spring! Theme.  You have until Friday, March 25th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

To start this card I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock to slimline size for my cardbase.  I used the same Kraft cardstock to die cut the windows using the Slimline Frames and Windows Die Set.  I then die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock with the scalloped frame die from the Slimline Frames and Portholes Die Set.  I used the Floral Lace Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo, and Shaded Lilac to create a gorgeous, spring color background.  

Next, I stamped these beautiful images from one of my favorite stamp sets, Woodland Spring, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  

I die cut a piece of Kraft cardstock with one of the stitched shapes from the Slimline Frames and Windows Die Set on which I stamped the sentiment with brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card adhering the ink blended background to the cardbase, and popped up the windows, images, and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!  

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, glossy accents, and few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a Think Spring! Pawsome Stamps Sneak Peek: Tweet Birdie Stamp Set

  Hi everyone!  I am up on the Pawsome Stamps blog today with a Sneak Peek of the brand new Tweet Birdie Stamp Set!  I love all of the birdhouses and super cute birds in this set!

To start this card I cut a piece of textured teal cardstock to 5" x 7" for my cardbase.  I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock and used the new Rays of Sunshine Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed.  I then splattered the background with gold watercolor paint.  I die cut grass out of smooth white cardstock and blended on Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.  

Next, I stamped out all of these adorable images from the new Tweet Birdie Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine! 

I assembled my card, adhering the background to the cardbase, and popping up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

Happy Easter Card

 Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created using the Hip Hop Squad Stamp and Die Set by The Rabbit Hole Designs!

To start this card I cut a piece of teal cardstock to A2 size for my cardbase.  I then die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock and used the Build Your Garden Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Kitsch Flamingo, Shaded Lilac, and Salvaged Patina to create a gorgeous floral background!  I splattered the ink blended background with silver watercolor paint and set it aside to dry.

Next, I stamped out this super cute bunny image from the Hip Hop Squad Stamp Set, colored it with Copic markers, then cut it out with the coordinating die set.

Inky Paws Challenge #168 - Sketch Challenge Reminder Post

 Hi everybody!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #168 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, March 11th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

To start this card I cut a teal cardbase to 5" x 6 1/2".  I then cut a 2" strip of smooth white cardstock on which I used the Butterflies Stencil Set.  For Layer 1, I used Distess Oxide Inks Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac.  For Layer 2, I used Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet.  Since the stencil is 6" by 6", I cut the stenciled paper where it would fall under the large circle so I could extend the paper to the edges of my card!  

Next, I stamped out this super cute image of the pup and butterfly from the Puppy Friends Stamp Set, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.  I also stamped a butterfly from Newton's Picnic Stamp Set, colored it, and cut it out with the coordinating die.  

I used the Circle Frames Die Set to cut the two stitched circles out of smooth white cardstock.  On the larger circle I used the Sunscape Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed for the sun, and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass.  On the smaller circle, I stamped a sentiment from the Puppy Friends Stamp Set with black pigment ink and clear embossed for some shine!  I also inked the edges of the smaller circle with teal ink to match the cardbase. 

I assembled my card adhering the layers and ribbon, and popping up the images and sentiment circle with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter to the butterfly's wings and the polka dots, and glossy accents to the pup's nose!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there! 

Hang In There Slimline Card

  Hi everyone!  I am up on the Pawsome Stamps blog today with this slimline card I created using the Playful Pandas Stamp Set!  It is a great card for anyone who needs a little encouragement!

I started this card by cutting a green slimline cardbase and windows.  I then die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock for the background, and used a leaf stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness.  I splattered the ink blended background with gold watercolor paint and set it aside to dry.  

Next, I stamped out these adorable pandas from the Playful Pandas Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating die set.  I also stamped and colored some leaves and a couple of extra bamboo pieces.  

I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment, which is from the Playful Pandas Stamp Set, onto dark gray cardstock.  

I assembled my card adhering the leafy background to the cardbase, and popping up the windows, sentiment strip, and images with foam tape for some dimension!

My Sweet Friend

 Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created using the new Spring Kitty Stamp, and Friend - Scripty Stamp and Die Sets by The Rabbit Hole Designs!

To start this card I cut a teal cardbase to A2 size.  I then die cut a piece of white cardstock on which I stamped the gorgeous new Spring Kitty Stamp, and colored it with Copic markers.  

Next, I stamped "My Sweet" from the Friend - Scripty Stamp Set directly onto my card.  I die cut a piece of teal cardstock three times using the Friend - Scripty Word Die, gluing the words together to create dimension on my card!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, and silver glitter Stickles!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Let's Celebrate

  Hi everyone!  I am up on the Pawsome Stamps blog today with this card I created using the Good Luck Lanterns Stamp Set.  This card was so much fun to make, and I love the way it came out!

To start this card I cut a piece of Navy Blue cardstock to A2 size for my cardbase.  Next, I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock on which I blended Distress Oxide Inks Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Prized Ribbon, and Black Soot.  I then splattered white and gold paint onto my ink blended background.

I die cut a navy blue banner on which I stamped and gold heat embossed the "Let's Celebrate" sentiment from the Good Luck Lanterns Stamp Set. 

After my paint splatters had dried, I stamped and gold heat embossed the absolutely gorgeous background stamp from the Good Luck Lanterns Stamp Set onto my ink blended background!  

I assembled my card adhering the background panel to the cardbase, and popping up the sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!
