House Mouse Designs Monochrome

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #332 - Anything Goes with the option of Monochrome.  I obviously chose purple for my monochrome color!

To start this card I die cut a piece of Copic friendly white paper with the second largest die from My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Square Die-namics die set.  I stamped this super cute House Mouse image using a stamp from one of the Mini Clear stamp sets and colored it with Copic markers.  I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed.

Next, I cut the patterned paper with the largest die from MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics die set, and adhered my square piece to it.  I then found a purple sparkly ribbon that matched the glitter paper I was going to use for my cardbase and attached the ribbon to my patterned paper.  I used foam tape to pop up the patterned paper on my cardbase for some dimension.  I first thought to make a bow with the ribbon, but then remembered I had these cute purple flowers, and it looks great!

Copic Colors used for Mouse:
  • Fur - T1, T3, T5
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose, Cheeks - E93
Gift:
  • V0000, V000, V01, V04
Ribbon:
  • V12, V15, V17, V09

To finish off this card I added glitter to the ribbon on the gift and glossy accents to the mouse's cute little nose!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

I just love this stamp!  Newton is so cute holding that huge heart!  I started by cutting a teal cardbase to A2 size.  I used the largest die in NND Framework die set to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock on which I used NND Tumbling Hearts stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers.  I cut a piece of vellum using the stitched rectangle die in NND Frames and Flags die set. I then adhered it over my stenciling to soften the background and to help my stamped image stand out more.

Next, I stamped the adorable image from NND Newton's Valentine stamp set, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I used two of the banner dies from NND Frames and Flags die set to cut a larger red glitter banner and a white banner for the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in red pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then inked the edges of the banner with the same red ink.  I adhered the red glitter banner directly onto my card, and used thin foam tape to adhere the sentiment banner.  I then attached my colored image with foam tape for dimension!

Floral Birthday Wishes Card

Hello everybody!  Today I am sharing a card I made for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - We're on a Roll, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Make Your Own Background.  I know I just used this stamp set for my floral shaker card, but I love the flowers in this Simon stamp set so I had to use it again!

Birthday Wishes Card by Amy Tollner - Simon Says Stamp You Have my Heart stamp set, Birthday Wishes Circle die, Altenew Halftone stencil

To start this card I cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4".  For the background I used the Halftone stencil from Altenew with glitter paste.  I set it aside to dry and stamped out this beautiful floral image from SSS You Have my Heart stamp set in gray ink.  I colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I then used SSS Birthday Wishes Circle die to cut a piece of gold mirror cardstock.

After my background was dry, I adhered it to the gray cardbase with foam tape for some dimension.  I used liquid glue to adhere the flower image and the sentiment to the background.

I started this card by cutting a piece of red glitter cardstock to 3.5" by 8.5" for my cardbase.  I then cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the scalloped frame from NND Slimline Frames and Portholes die set on which I used NND Bokeh Hearts stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar for Layer 1 and Worn Lipstick for Layer 2.  I adhered it to my cardbase with liquid glue.  I used the portholes die from NND Slimline Frames and Portholes die set to cut a piece of red glitter cardstock, and then adhered it to my card.

Next, I stamped out images from the super cute NND Oink stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating dies.  The flower on the first piggy's ear is from Newton's Valentine stamp set.  I popped the piggies up on my card with foam tape for some dimension.  For the sentiment, I die cut the stitched banner from NND Slimline Frames and Windows die set, stamped the sentiment in teal, and inked the edges of the banner.  I used thin foam tape to attach the banner to my card, carefully tucking it behind the piggy's ears.

Floral Heart Shaker Card

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I made for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Shake It Up, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Layer It Up.  I couldn't wait to color this stamp, and thought it would be perfect to create a shaker with!

I had a pretty good idea in my head of what I wanted this card to look like so I started by die cutting the gingham patterned paper with the largest die from Honey Bee's Stitched Scalloped Squares die set.  I then used the largest stitched square die from Newton's Nook Designs Frames Squared die set to cut the white cardstock.  I mounted both on a white cardbase and used a corner chomper to round the edges.

Next, I stamped the gorgeous floral heart image from Simon Says Stamp's You Have My Heart stamp set in SSS Slate gray ink, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with coordinating die.  I used liquid glue to adhere the acetate to the back of the heart, then added two layers of foam tape.  I used my powder tool to help with the static.  I stamped the sentiment in gray pigment ink and clear heat embossed.  I then put some sequins from SSS Girl's Best Friend sequin mix down in the center of the card and adhered the floral heart over them.

Colors used for Flowers and Berries:
  • RV00, RV10, RV21, RV23
Leaves:
  • YG01, YG05, YG25, YG17
  • G20, G21, G24

For finishing touches on this card I added glitter to the flowers, berries, and lighter colored leaves.  I also added glossy accents to the berries, and a few sparkling sequins on the side for extra bling!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

After I finished coloring, I decided on the gingham patterned paper.  I die cut it with the scalloped rectangle die, also from NND Frames and Flags die set.  I then mounted my card onto a red cardbase, and added the twine bow.

Inky Paws Challenge #139 - Cozy Winter Theme Reminder

Hi All!  Don't forget you have until Friday, January 15th to get your entries into Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #139 - Cozy Winter Theme.

Inky Paws Challenge Cozy Winter Theme - A Cozy Day In stamp set, Frames and Flags die set, Petite Snow stencil, Forest Scene Builder, Land Borders die set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

Who doesn't want to be in their favorite chair reading a good book with their best furry friends on a snowy winter day?  I sure do!  To create the window for this card I cut a piece of smooth cardstock to 3 1/4" x 3 7/8" and blended Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Cracked Pistachio.  I then used NND Petite Snow stencil with my favorite glitter paste and set it aside to dry.  I used NND Forest Scene Builder die set and NND Land Borders die set to cut out white glitter cardstock for a snowy scene.  I couldn't help but adding in the red cardinal!  After the glitter paste snow was dry, I adhered the hill, trees, and cardinal.  I cut 3/8" strips to create a window frame which I adhered to my scene with foam tape.  I used liquid glue to attach the window scene to the scalloped teal cardstock which I had die cut using NND Frames and Flags die set.

Next, I stamped out the super cute NND image, A Cozy Day In, in dye ink and colored it with Copic markers.  I left the stamp in place in my stamp positioning tool so after coloring I could re-stamp in pigment ink and clear heat emboss.  I am not great at fussy cutting and I find that it helps when I have the little embossed edge on my image.

After much debate, I decided on a medium gray cardstock for the card base.  I cut it to A2 size, inked the edges with gray ink, and adhered the scalloped teal cardstock with window scene.  I used NND Frames and Flags die set and the same medium gray cardstock to cut a banner for the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and clear embossed.  I inked the edges of the sentiment banner with gray ink as well and attached it to my card.  I then used a combination of foam tape and liquid glue to adhere the colored image to my card.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Sparkle and Shine

Hi everybody!  Today I am sharing a card I created for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Sparkle and Shine featuring Whimsy Stamps Products.  Clearly, Sparkle and Shine is no problem for this girl!  Lol!!

I started by cutting a piece of Copic friendly white cardstock to A2 size and then stamped this super cute image from Whimsy Stamps Hogs and Kisses stamp set directly onto it.  After coloring the image, I used the largest die from Your Next Stamp's Stitched Rectangle Frames die set to cut the red glitter frame.  I then cut a piece of pink glitter cardstock using Whimsy Stamps Slimline Bunting Border die set.  Before attaching anything, I used both pieces to help find the placement for the "XO" on my card.  I stamped the "XO" in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed.

Next, I adhered the red glitter frame to my card with foam tape for some dimension, and attached the pink glitter border to the red frame with liquid glue.  After that, I decided that the "XO" looked too plain with no coloring and decided to color it red!

Copic colors used for Piggies:
  • R000, R00, R11, R12, R20, R32, N1
  • Hooves - N3, N5, N7
Bow:
  • BV31, BV11, BV13, BV04
Heart:
  • R05, R24, R27, R46, R39
"XO":
  • R05, R24, R46, R39

For finishing touches on this card I added glitter to the bow and heart with a glitter pen, glossy accents to the heart, and few sequins for extra bling!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Inky Paws Challenge Cozy Winter Theme - Fireside Friends stamp set, Hardwood stencil, Frames Squared die set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

What can be more cozy on a cold winter day than curling up in front of a nice warm fire for a nap with your best furry friend?  I knew when I started this card what I wanted it to look like so I began by cutting a piece of kraft cardstock to 4 3/4" x 6 3/4".  I used NND Hardwood stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain on the kraft cardstock.  I inked the edges with Walnut Stain as well.  I die cut a piece of red cardstock using the scalloped square die from NND Frames Squared die set and adhered it to the stenciled kraft cardstock.  I used the smaller of the two stitched squares, also from the NND Frames Squared die set, to cut a piece of Copic friendly white paper.  Next, I stamped the super adorable NND Fireside Friends image and colored it with Copic markers.  When I was done coloring, I adhered my colored piece to the red scalloped square.

I then used NND Frames and Flags die set to cut a banner for the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine.  I inked the edges of the banner with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink and adhered it to my card with foam tape for some dimension.  I added the ribbon to my card, tucking it under the sentiment banner.  After adhering the ribbon and bow I attached my card to a 5" x 7" base of chocolate glitter cardstock for a bit of sparkle!
