Hi everyone! This is Inky Paws Challenge #140 - Color Challenge. The colors are teal, red, pink, and white. You have until Friday, January 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
I started this card by cutting a piece of red glitter cardstock to 3.5" by 8.5" for my cardbase. I then cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the scalloped frame from NND Slimline Frames and Portholes die set on which I used NND Bokeh Hearts stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar for Layer 1 and Worn Lipstick for Layer 2. I adhered it to my cardbase with liquid glue. I used the portholes die from NND Slimline Frames and Portholes die set to cut a piece of red glitter cardstock, and then adhered it to my card.
Next, I stamped out images from the super cute NND Oink stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating dies. The flower on the first piggy's ear is from Newton's Valentine stamp set. I popped the piggies up on my card with foam tape for some dimension. For the sentiment, I die cut the stitched banner from NND Slimline Frames and Windows die set, stamped the sentiment in teal, and inked the edges of the banner. I used thin foam tape to attach the banner to my card, carefully tucking it behind the piggy's ears.
Copic colors used for Pigs:
- R000, R00, R11, N1
- Ears and Noses - R12, R20, R32
- Mouth - R20
- Hooves - N3, N5, N7
Teal:
- BG10, BG11, BG23, BG15
Red:
- R05, R27, R46, R39
To finish off this card I used a glitter pen on the bow and the spots on the bandana. I also added glossy accents to their hooves and the flower center. Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Color Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products. Make sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Hope to see you there!
