Hi everybody! Don't forget you have until Friday, January 29th to get your entries into Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop! This is Inky Paws Challenge #140 - Color Challenge. The colors are teal, red, pink, and white.
I just love this stamp! Newton is so cute holding that huge heart! I started by cutting a teal cardbase to A2 size. I used the largest die in NND Framework die set to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock on which I used NND Tumbling Hearts stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers. I cut a piece of vellum using the stitched rectangle die in NND Frames and Flags die set. I then adhered it over my stenciling to soften the background and to help my stamped image stand out more.
Next, I stamped the adorable image from NND Newton's Valentine stamp set, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die. I used two of the banner dies from NND Frames and Flags die set to cut a larger red glitter banner and a white banner for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment in red pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine! I then inked the edges of the banner with the same red ink. I adhered the red glitter banner directly onto my card, and used thin foam tape to adhere the sentiment banner. I then attached my colored image with foam tape for dimension!
Copic colors used for Newton:

- Ears and Beans - R00, R01, R02

For finishing touches on this card I added a few sparkling iridescent crystals to the background, and glitter and glossy accents to the heart. I also added glossy accents to Newton's nose, beans, the flower center, and to the bird's beak.
