Sending Hugs Floral Garden Slimline Card

Hi All!  Today I am sharing a card I created for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Sending Hugs.  I don't have any Impression Obsession products on hand, so I used a Simon stamp instead!

I started this card by die cutting a piece of smooth white cardstock with the largest stitched die in Lawn Fawn's Large Slimline with Sliders die set.  I then stamped the absolutely gorgeous SSS Floral Garden image and gold heat embossed.  I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color the image, and then splattered some gold watercolor paint across the whole panel.  After my panel was dry, I adhered it to a gold glitter cardbase.

For the sentiment I die cut a piece of black cardstock using the smallest die in Memory Box's Wrapped Stitched Rectangles die set.  I gold heat embossed the sentiment from SSS Sketched Flowers stamp set.  I gold heat embossed along the edges of the sentiment piece as well, then adhered it to my card with foam tape for a bit of dimension!

Zig colors used for Flowers:
  • Light Carmine
  • Pink
  • Lilac, English Lavender
  • Purple with Light Brown center
  • Turquoise Green, Light Blue with Yellow center
  • Bright Yellow, Yellow, Lemon Yellow with Light Brown center
Leaves:
  • Light Green, Yellow Green
  • Olive Green, Mid Green

I added some sparkling sequins throughout the card for a finishing touch!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

House Mouse Designs Ornament Candy

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I made for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #330 - Anything Goes with the option of Sparkle/Shine.  Anyone that has seen my cards in the past knows that that is not a problem for me!

I started this card by die cutting a piece of Copic friendly white paper with the largest rectangle from the Wrapped Stitch Rectangles die set by Memory Box.  I then stamped the adorable Ornament Candy image featuring Monica and Mudpie and colored it with Copic markers.  This is a large and beautiful image!  After I finished coloring, I mounted my card on red glitter cardstock.

Copic colors used for Monica:
  • Fur - T1, T3, T5
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose - E93
Mudpie:
  • Fur - E21, E23, E25
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose - E93
Candies:
  • RV10, RV21, RV23, RV25
  • YG01, YG05, YG07, YG09
Pine Boughs and Needles:
  • G21, G24, G29
  • E57, E59
Gold on Ornament:
  • Y11, Y15, YR21, YR23
Shadows:
  • N0, N1, N2, N3

Since Sparkle/Shine was the option for this challenge I added glitter to the candies and then used glossy accents to cover the entire ornament.  I think it really gave the ornament a more realistic look!  I then added the Tim Holtz idea-ology Naughty or Nice adornment with a bow, and a few iridescent crystals for some more sparkle and shine!  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

House Mouse Designs Dog Ride

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I made for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #325 - Anything Goes with the option of Leaves.  I am also entering this card into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Make It Sparkle!  If you have seen any of the other cards I have made, you know that isn't a problem for me!  LOL!!

I started by die cutting the largest of the Wrapped Stitch Rectangles from Memory Box out of Copic friendly white paper.  I then stamped this adorable House Mouse Designs stamp, Dog Ride featuring Maxwell, Muzzy, and Amanda, onto the paper and colored the image with Copic markers.  I added a small sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs Sending Sentiments stamp set which I stamped in brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed for a shiny look.  This is a big and beautiful image so I didn't want the sentiment to be too large.  I wanted the stamp to shine on its own!  I just love this stamp because I love the House Mouse Designs images and we have many senior and/or special needs dogs so this is a perfect combo for me!  I then mounted my card onto chocolate glitter cardstock.  Calling it brown glitter cardstock just sounded a little boring!

Copic colors used for Maxwell:
  • Fur - E31, E33, E35
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose, Cheeks - E93
Muzzy:
  • Fur - W3, W5, W6
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose, Cheeks - E93
Amanda:
  • Fur - E53, E35, E57
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose, Cheeks - E93
Dog:
  • E50, E51, E53
  • Nose - N4, N6, N8
Leaves:
  • Y08, Y17, YR04, YR07
  • YR04,YR07, YR09, R05, R27, R46
Grass:
  • YG01, YG03, YG17, YG67
Rocks:
  • N1, N3, N5
Twig:
  • E11, E13, E15, E18
  • YG03, YG67
Bone:
  • E40, E41, E42

For finishing touches on this card I added glitter to the leaves and bone.  I also added glossy accents to everyone's noses and the bone as well.  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!

House Mouse Designs - Peony Song

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #322 - Anything Goes with the option of Flowers.  I have wanted to color this stamp for so long that when I saw the flower option I knew exactly which stamp I was going to use!

I started by die cutting the largest of the Wrapped Stitch Rectangles from Memory Box out of Copic friendly white paper.  I then stamped the gorgeous House Mouse Designs stamp, Peony Song featuring Monica, Maxwell, and Mudpie, onto the paper and colored it with Copic markers.  I didn't do anything for a background for this card because the stamp is big and beautiful, and I wanted to let it shine as the focal point!  After I finished coloring, I mounted my card on glitter card stock which actually measures 5 3/4" by 4 1/2".

Copic Colors used for Peony:

  • R000, R00, R11, R20, R22
  • Y11, Y13, Y15, Y26
  • YG01, YG61, YG63, YG67
Monica:
  • Fur - T1, T3, T5
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose, Cheeks - E93
Maxwell:
  • Fur - E31, E33, E35
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose, Cheeks - E93
Mudpie:
  • Fur - E21, E23, E25
  • Skin - E50, E51
  • Ears, Nose, Cheeks - E93
Grass:
  • YG01, YG03, YG17
Raindrops:
  • B0000, B00, B01

For finishing touches on this card I added glitter and glossy accents to the center of the peony and the raindrops.  I added glossy accents to the cute little noses of the mice, and a few raindrop crystals as well.  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my card today!
