Inky Paws Challenge #149 - Color Challenge Reminder

 Hi everyone!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge Color Challenge Reminder post!  The colors are Mint, Plum, Lime Green, and Lilac.  You have until Friday, June 4th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  I made a shaker card this time!

To start this card I stamped the gorgeous floral image and sentiment from the Floral Fringe stamp set in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed.  I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  

I used the largest die in the Frames Squared die set to cut a scored cardbase, and to cut the lilac paper which I adhered to the cardbase.  Next, I cut a piece of mint cardstock with the scalloped frame in the Frames Squared die set, and used the small stitched square die from the same set to cut out the center of the mint cardstock. 

I adhered my floral piece to the lilac cardbase, and put down some sequins for my shaker elements.  I adhered acetate to the backside of the mint cardstock window I created, and used foam tape to pop it up and make the shaker.

Cute Framed Raccoon Card

 Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Frame It.  This raccoon stamp is so cute, and I just had to give him a little color with the teal!

To start this card I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock to A2 size.  I then used the largest die in MFT Stitched Rectangle Frames die set to cut a chocolate glitter frame.  I thought this Have Heart image by Miss Ink Stamps would be perfect for this card, so after using the frame as a guide for where I wanted the heart image to be, I stamped the heart and sentiment in brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed.  

I stamped the super cute raccoon and floral images from Streamside Studios Woodland Friends Clear Stamp Set onto Kraft cardstock.  I colored all of the images with Copic markers, cut them out, and adhered them to my card with foam tape for dimension.  I just couldn't resist putting a flower by the raccoon's ear!

Finally, I adhered the frame to my card with foam tape as well, and added some sparkling sequins across the heart image!

Believe Fairy Card

 Hi everyone!  I am so excited to share this card with you today!  I just love this fairy house, and it was super fun to color!  This card is for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

I already had an idea in my head of what I wanted this card to look like so I stamped out all of my images first.  I used two different stamp sets from Streamside Studios.  I used the awesome Fairy House Clear Stamp Set, and the Happy Fairy Clear Stamp Set.  I colored all of my images with Copic markers and fussy cut them out.  

Next, I used the third largest die in Waffle Flower's A7 Layers die set to cut out a piece of smooth white cardstock for the background, on which I blended Distress Oxide Inks Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose, and Milled Lavender.  I then splattered some gold watercolor onto my inked panel and set it aside to dry.  For the grass I used Lawn Fawn's Simple Grassy Hillsides die set, and adhered it directly to my background.  

For the cardbase I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock using the largest die in Waffle Flower's Lacy Layers 5 x 7 die set.  I then adhered my background panel to my cardbase with tape runner, and adhered all of my images with a combination of liquid glue, and foam tape for some dimension.

For the sentiment I decided on a black cardstock banner, which I die cut using the Quick Strips die set by Whimsy Stamps.  I gold heat embossed the "Believe" sentiment from Streamside Studios Fairy House Clear Stamp Set, and popped up the sentiment banner with foam tape.

Inky Paws Challenge #149 - Color Challenge

 Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Mint, Plum, Lime Green, and Lilac.  You have until Friday, June 4th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  I guess I was inspired by the succulents in the photo as well as the colors!

To start this card I cut a piece of mint cardstock to 8.5" by 3.5" for my cardbase.  I used the portholes die in the Slimline Frames and Portholes die set to cut another piece of the mint cardstock.  I used the scalloped frame die from the same die set to cut a piece of lilac cardstock.  I used the Mugs stencil with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink on the scalloped lilac cardstock, then adhered it to my cardbase.  I used foam tape to adhere the mint portholes layer.  

Next, I stamped out the awesome cacti from the Cuppa Cactus stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating die set.  I stamped the wreath and flower images from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating dies as well.  I popped up the cacti with foam tape for some dimension.  

For the sentiment I used the portholes die, from the Slimline Frames and Portholes die set, to cut one porthole so I could use the center for my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink, and adhered the sentiment circle in the middle porthole on my card.  I then used liquid glue to adhere the wreath and flowers around it.

House Mouse Designs Clover Bouquet

 Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #340 - Anything Goes with the option of Add a Charm, and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Four Legged Friends.

To start this card I die cut a piece of Copic friendly white paper with the second largest die in SSS Stitched Rectangles die set.  I stamped this super adorable image featuring Muzzy and his bunny friend, and colored it with Copic markers.  

I decided to go with lilac colored papers, and used the largest die in SSS Stitched Rectangles die set to cut the patterned paper.  I used Waffle Flower's A2 Layering die set to cut the solid color cardstock, and adhered all of my layers together.  

I used matching ribbon with a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Heart Adornment for the bow, and adhered it to my card with liquid glue.

Inky Paws Challenge #148 - Thank You Theme Reminder

 Hi everybody!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge #148 - Thank You Theme reminder post!  You have until Friday, May 21st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  Don't you just love Newton's Nook latest release?  Everything is so great, and I had to feature these cute pups from the Puppy Friends stamp set!

To start this card I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock with the scalloped frame from NND Slimline Frames and Portholes die set.  I then taped the masking squares from the Masking Circles and Squares stencil set to the white cardstock.  I used the Hills and Grass stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, and added the sky with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean.  I adhered my panel with liquid glue to an aqua glitter cardbase.

Next, I stamped out the super adorable pups from the Puppy Friends stamp set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating die set.  I also stamped out, colored, and die cut the butterflies from the Daffodils stamp set, the frog from Newton's Rainy Day stamp set, and the flower by the third pup's ear from the Woodland Spring stamp set.  I adhered all of the images to my card with foam tape for dimension!  

The sentiments are from the Puppy Friends and Daffodils stamp sets, and are stamped in black pigment ink.

Love Grows Here Slimline Card

 Hi everyone!  I have another digi stamp to share with you today!  I created this card for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Things with Wings, and used this gorgeous image from Streamside Studios.

For this card I used the so beautiful Love Grows Here digi stamp from Streamside Studios.  I added in the bee facing left from another Streamside Studios digi stamp set, Fairy Fun.  I printed off my image on smooth white cardstock, and as soon as it came off the printer I put gold embossing powder all over it.  I had a few stray pieces which I was able to clear away with a paintbrush, and I heat set the image.  I was so impressed with how it came out!  

Next, I used the largest die in the Slimline Wonky Stitched die set from Kat Scrappiness to cut out my image.  I colored my image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and splattered some gold watercolor paint all over the panel.  I did cover the bees and sentiment with little pieces of paper to prevent them from getting too splattered!  I adhered my colored panel to a gold glitter cardbase with liquid glue.

Toilet Paper Friends Slimline Card

 Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing a card I created for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Feminine.  I have to admit, this is my first card made with Digi Stamps, and I love them!  I am almost sorry that I didn't try them sooner!  

To start this card I printed off these super adorable images, and the sentiment, from Streamside Studios Toilet Paper Friends digi stamp set.  I colored the images with Copic markers and fussy cut them out.  I still have to get used to sizing the images a bit, but I absolutely love the versatility with the digi stamps, and of course the image comes out perfect every time!  Shawne, the owner of Streamside Studios, has some really helpful videos about the digi stamps on her YouTube channel. 

I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the scalloped frame die from Newton's Nook Designs Slimline Frames and Portholes die set.  I used SSS Bitty Florals Slimline stencil with SSS Inks Lemon Zing, Clementine, and Hollyhock.  I adhered my stenciled panel to a bright yellow cardbase.  I then used NND Slimline Frames and Windows die set to cut bright yellow windows, and to cut out my sentiment.  I used foam tape to adhere the windows to my card.  

I then inked the edges of the sentiment piece with the Lemon Zing ink, and adhered it directly to the card.  I attached the Toilet Paper Friends with foam tape for some dimension, and added some sparkling sequins!

Inky Paws Challenge #148 - Thank You Theme

 Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  You have until Friday, May 21st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #148 - Thank You Theme.

I decided to make an easel card for my first card for this challenge!  I started this card by stamping the gorgeous floral image from NND Heartfelt Blooms stamp set in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed.  I stamped two of the same butterfly image from NND Monarchs stamp set in black pigment ink and clear embossed them as well.  I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  I used the largest scalloped heart die in NND Heart Frames die set to cut out the floral image, and the Monarchs coordinating die set to cut out the butterflies.  

After deciding on the blue glitter cardstock for the background, I used the largest die in NND Heart Frames die set to cut out two blue glitter hearts.  I adhered the two butterflies together by the body only, bending the wing of the top butterfly forward to create dimension.  I then adhered the butterflies to my floral image, and my floral image to one of the blue glitter hearts.  

To create the easel, I used the largest die in NND Heart Frames die set to cut a folded card, leaving a little portion of the fold of the card at the top.  I adhered my second blue glitter heart to the inside of the card.  I used a banner die from NND Banner Trio die set to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock, stamped my sentiment from NND Heartfelt Blooms stamp set in Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink, inking the edges of the banner as well. I attached the sentiment piece to my card with foam tape.  Next, I folded the top of the card in half, and adhered the floral panel to the bottom half only, using the sentiment piece to hold the card open in an easel.

House Mouse Birthday Gift

 Hi everybody!  Today I am sharing a card I created for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #339 - Anything Goes with the option of Slimline Card.  Isn't Monica just so cute waiting for her birthday gift?!

To start this card I cut a piece of Copic friendly white cardstock with the scalloped frame die from Newton's Nook Designs Slimline Frames and Portholes die set.  I then stamped this adorable image featuring Monica and Mudpie, and colored it with Copic markers.  I used NND Confetti stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade.  I tried very hard not to get any ink on my colored image!  Then I adhered my colored panel to a bight pink cardbase.  

I used NND Banner Trio die set to cut a piece of white cardstock for my sentiment.  I gold heat embossed the sentiment, which is from NND Birthday Roundabout stamp set, and gold heat embossed the edges of the banner as well.  I popped up the sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #147 - Sketch Challenge Reminder

 Hi everybody!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge #147 - Sketch Challenge reminder post!  You have until Friday, May 7th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  I love all of the Farm sets that Newton's Nook Designs has available and used a few different ones to create my card today!

To start this card, I die cut a blue cardbase to 5" by 7".  I cut two pieces of smooth white cardstock, one to 3" by 5", and another to 2 3/4" to 3 3/4".  I used NND Clouds stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean to create the sky.  I then used NND Land Borders die set to cut out the hills and grass on which I blended Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, and splattered it with some water.  I die cut white woodgrain paper using NND Fence die for the strip in the sketch.  

Next, I stamped out all of the these adorable images, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating die sets.  The pig is from the Oink stamp set, the chicken is from the Cluck stamp set, the horse is from the Neigh stamp set, the barn is from the Moo stamp set, and the flowers are from the Woodland Spring stamp set.  

I adhered the 3" by 5" piece to my cardbase with liquid glue.  I then adhered the horse, fence, and grass pieces.  Next, I attached the 2 3/4" by 3 3/4" piece to my card with foam tape.  I adhered the barn, hills, and flowers with liquid glue, and the pig and chicken with foam tape.  

I cut out a couple of speech bubbles with the Speech Bubbles die set, stamped the sentiments from the Cluck stamp set with black pigment ink, then cut the speech bubbles down to the size I needed to fit on the card.
