Hi everybody! This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post! This is Inky Paws Challenge #169 - Think Spring! Theme. You have until Friday, March 25th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
To start this card I cut a piece of blue cardstock to A2 size for my cardbase. I used the scalloped frame die in the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock on which I used the Clouds Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. I splattered some silver watercolor paint onto the background and set it aside to dry. I then used the Land Borders Die Set to cut two layers of grass out of smooth white cardstock, and blended on Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks.
Next, I stamped out the super cute Spring Pile Up image, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die set. I stamped, colored, and die cut the butterflies from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set, and the eggs and chick in the grass from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set.
I die cut a banner using the large banner die in the Frames and Flags Die Set, and stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment, which is from the Spring Pile Up Stamp Set.
I assembled my card adhering the cloudy background to the cardbase, and popped up the images and sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!
For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, and glossy accents! Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a Think Spring! Theme project using your Newton's Nook Designs products! Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Hope to see you there!
