Inky Paws Challenge #183 - Sketch Challenge Reminder Post

   Hi everyone!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #183 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, October 7th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

I started this card by die cutting a piece of smooth white cardstock using the tag die from the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.  I blended on Distress Oxide Inks Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, and Black Soot.  I then splattered on some black and white paint and set it aside to dry.

Next, I used the large postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set to cut the bat patterned paper, which is from the Halloween Meows Paper Pad.  I used the fishtail banner die, from the Frames and Flags Die Set, to cut the banners out of black glitter cardstock.

I stamped out this adorable image of Newton from Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.  I stamped out the stars and bat, which are from the same set, and die cut them as well.   

Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set, on black cardstock and white heat embossed.  I then fussy cut it out.  

I assembled my card using black glitter cardstock for the base.  I adhered all the layers together, popping up the images and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!  

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen and glossy accents on Newton's nose!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #183 - Sketch Challenge

  Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #183 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, October 7th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

I started this card by die cutting a piece of smooth white cardstock using the tag die from the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.  I blended on Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron, Evergreen Bough, and Black Soot.  I then splattered on some black and white paint and set it aside to dry.

Next, I used the scalloped edge frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut the pumpkin patterned paper, which is from the Halloween Meows Paper Pad.  I used the fishtail banner die, also from the Frames and Flags Die Set, to cut the banners out of orange cardstock.

I stamped out this super cute image of Newton from Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.  I stamped the stars, which are from the same set, in yellow ink, and die cut them as well.   

Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set, on black cardstock and white heat embossed.  I then fussy cut it out.  

I assembled my card using orange cardstock for the base.  I adhered all the layers together, popping up the images and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #163 - Create a Tag Theme Reminder Post

 Hi everyone!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post!  You have until Friday, December 17th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

To start these tags I used the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to cut two tags out of kraft paper.  I then splattered the kraft tags with gold watercolor paint.  I used some of the wonderful papers from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad for the tag hole reinforcements and the bottom of the tags.  

Next, I stamped out these super cute images from Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating die set.  

I stamped the sentiments in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then adhered the images with foam tape for some dimension, and tied red ribbon on the tags!

For finishing touches I added white gel pen accents, glitter with a glitter pen, glossy accents, and a few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky using the Create a Tag Theme and your Newton's Nook Designs products!  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there! 

Inky Paws Challenge #157 - Halloween Theme Reminder

 Hi everybody!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge #157 - Halloween Theme reminder post!  You have until Friday, September 24th to get your entries in for your chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  I created a trio of tags with the lovely Halloween Ladies!  

I started by die cutting the tags out of smooth white cardstock using the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.  I then used Distress Oxide Inks to blend all of the backgrounds.  For the teal tag I blended Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, and Prize Ribbon.  For the pink tag I used Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry.  For the purple tag I blended Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, and Dusty Concord.  I then splattered white and black paint on all of the ink blended tags!

Next, I stamped out these super cute ladies, all dressed up for Halloween, and their accessories, from the Brooms & Boos Stamp Set.  I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating die set.

I used the zig-zag edge die, and a tag hole reinforcement circle die from the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to cut out some black cardstock.  I stamped the sentiments, also from the Brooms & Boos Stamp Set, onto the black cardstock and white heat embossed.  I then adhered the sentiment pieces and the tag hole reinforcement circles to my tags.

I adhered all of the ladies, moon, bats, and stars with foam tape for some dimension!  I then tied black ribbon on all three tags!

Inky Paws Challenge #154 - Use Stripes Theme

  Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  You have until Friday, August 13th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #154 - Use Stripes Theme.  I normally do not use stripes very often, so this challenge was a challenge for me!  It was fun creating cards outside of my normal box!

To start this card I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the large postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set.  I used the Serene Stripes Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Kitsch Flamingo to create my background.  

Next, I stamped out this adorable doggie image and pawprint from the Fabulous Frenchies Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating dies.

I then used the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to cut my tag from white cardstock on which I blended the Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks.  I used black pigment ink to stamp the sentiment, and clear heat embossed it for some shine!

I adhered my striped background to a pink A2 size cardbase.  I adhered the tag to my background with foam tape, and I also used foam tape to pop up the pup and pawprint for more dimension!

Colors used for Frenchie:

• E50, E51, E53
• Muzzle - E31, E33, E35
• Ears and Nose - R01, R11, R20
• Cheeks - E93

Pink:

• R30, R20, R22

Peach:

• YR000, YR00, YR61

Yellow:

• Y11, Y13, Y15

Trio of Halloween Tags

 Hi All!  I made a trio of Halloween tags with some of the leftover roses I had colored for my Creepy Cameos card.  I didn't need nearly as many as I had anticipated for the card, and was very happy to be able to create these tags!  I am entering them into Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #134 - Color Challenge.  The colors are Orange, Purple, Yellow, and Black.  I am also entering Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Not A Card.

I had stamped out, colored, and die cut many of NND Roses for my last card so they were good to go!  I die cut three white tags and three black glitter tags using NND Fancy Edges Tag die.  I used the stitched fishtail die in that set to cut the bottom of the black glitter tags, and then adhered them to the white tags with liquid glue.  Unfortunately, the glitter is difficult to see in the pictures, but it has a great sparkle in person!  I stamped the sentiment from NND Creepy Cameos stamp set in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed.  I popped up the roses on foam tape for some dimension, and tied a ribbon on each tag that matches the largest rose.

• Y11, Y15, C3, C5
• V20, V25, C3, C5

Leaves:

• C3, C5, C7, C9

For a finishing touch on these tags I added a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Halloween Token and covered the hole with a copper nailhead sticker.  Thank you and I hope you enjoyed my post today!
