Inky Paws Challenge #186 - Sketch Challenge

 Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #186 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, November 18th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

I started this card by die cutting a red cardbase, and a piece of patterned paper from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad.  I then cut the patterned paper to match the Sketch.  I die cut a scalloped circle using the Circle Frames Die Set, splattered on some gold watercolor paint, and set it aside to dry.

Next, I stamped out this super cute dinosaur image from the Prehistoric Christmas Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

I stamped the sentiment on the red cardbase and gold heat embossed.  I added a little gift next to it, also from the Prehistoric Christmas Stamp Set. 

I assembled my card, adhering the layers together, and using foam tape to pop up the image for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, and a few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #163 - Create a Tag Theme Reminder Post

 Hi everyone!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post!  You have until Friday, December 17th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

To start these tags I used the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set to cut two tags out of kraft paper.  I then splattered the kraft tags with gold watercolor paint.  I used some of the wonderful papers from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad for the tag hole reinforcements and the bottom of the tags.  

Next, I stamped out these super cute images from Newton's Holiday Mischief Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating die set.  

I stamped the sentiments in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then adhered the images with foam tape for some dimension, and tied red ribbon on the tags!

For finishing touches I added white gel pen accents, glitter with a glitter pen, glossy accents, and a few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky using the Create a Tag Theme and your Newton's Nook Designs products!  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there! 

Inky Paws Challenge #162 - Sketch Challenge

 Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #162 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, December 3rd to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop! 

To start this card I die cut a 5" x 7" cardbase out of red cardstock.  I used gold glitter cardstock for the three strips of paper in the background, and I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock to 3" x 5".  I used Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink, and splattered gold watercolor on the 3" x 5" piece to create a background for my images.  After the watercolor had dried, I cut a piece of red and green plaid cardstock from the new Meowy Christmas Paper Pad to 1" x 5" and adhered it to the bottom portion of my background piece. 

Next, I stamped these super fun drinks from the Christmas Cocktails Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with their coordinating die set.  

I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed.  I then cut a small strip of red glitter cardstock, and a red glitter bow, using the Pines and Holly Die Set, and adhered them to my 3" x 5" piece.  

I assembled my card adhering the gold cardstock to the red cardbase, and the background piece on top of the gold glitter cardstock.  I used foam tape to pop up my festive cocktails and give some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #161 - Color Challenge Reminder

 Hi everybody!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post!  You have until Friday, November 19th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  This is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Red, Dark Green, Light Green, and Brown.  I love this little Mistle Toad and just had to use him for this challenge!

To start this card I cut a red cardbase to A2 size.  I used the scalloped frame die in the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut the green plaid paper from the awesome new Meowy Christmas Paper Pad.  I then used the smallest scalloped circle in the Circle Frames Die Set to cut a piece of paper bag cardstock.  

Next, I stamped the super adorable Mistle Toad image, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die.  

I used the stitched fishtail banner die in the Banner Trio Die Set to cut a piece of red cardstock for my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Heartfelt Holidays Stamp Set, and white heat embossed.  

With all of my pieces ready, it was time to assemble my card!  I adhered the green plaid paper to the red cardbase, and the paper bag scalloped circle to the green plaid.  I then used foam tape to adhere and give dimension to the sentiment banner and the Mistle Toad!

Inky Paws Challenge #161 - Color Challenge

 Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Red, Dark Green, Light Green, and Brown.  You have until Friday, November 19th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I cut a piece of paper bag cardstock to A2 size for my cardbase.  I then cut a piece of red plaid cardstock from the super awesome *new* Meowy Christmas Paper Pack to 2 1/2" by 5 1/2" and adhered it to the top portion of my card.

Next, I stamped out the beautiful Heartfelt Holidays image, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out using the largest scalloped heart die from the Heart Frames Die Set.  I die cut the red glitter bow, and a couple of leaves and pine boughs using the Pines and Holly Die Set.  I colored the leaves and pine boughs with Copic markers, and adhered the heart, bow, and greens to my card with liquid glue.

I cut a banner out of green cardstock using a die from the Banner Trio Die Set.  I stamped a sentiment from the Heartfelt Holidays Stamp Set and white heat embossed.  I then adhered the sentiment banner to my card using foam tape for some dimension.
