Inky Paws Challenge - Sketch Challenge Week 3

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, February 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

This card is 5" x 7" and to start, I picked out the papers I wanted to use from the Farmyard Paper Pad.  I cut the tractor paper to 5" x 3 1/4", the animal paper to 2 1/2" x 6", and the cow pattern paper to 2 1/2" x 3".  I used a banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of patterned paper from the same paper pad.  

Next, I stamped this super cute image of Newton along with the haystack and corn from the Farmer Newton Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Farmer Newton Stamp Set, onto kraft paper in brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then fussy cut around the sentiment. 

I assembled my card, adhering the layers together to match the sketch.  I cut the banner in half to make it long enough and adhered the next layer on top of it.  Then, I popped up the image of Newton with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #237 - Sketch Challenge Week 2

 Hi everyone!  This is Week 2 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, February 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

This card is 5" x 7" and to start, I picked out the papers I wanted to use from the Love and Meows Paper Pad and the Lovely Hearts Paper Pad.  I cut the multi-color heart paper to 5" x 3 1/4", the kitty paper to 2 1/2" x 6", and the purple heart paper to 2 1/2" x 3".  I used a banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of red glitter paper.  

Next, I stamped this super cute image of Newton and his girlfriend, and the little heart, from Newton's Sweetheart Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Sweetheart Stamp Set, onto red cardstock and white heat embossed.  I then fussy cut around the sentiment. 

I assembled my card, adhering the layers together to match the sketch.  I cut the banner in half to make it long enough and adhered the next layer on top of it.  Then, I popped up the images and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #237 - Sketch Challenge Week 1

 Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is a Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, February 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

This card is 5" x 7" and to start, I picked out the papers I wanted to use from the Birthday Party Paper Pad.  I cut the green confetti paper to 5" x 3 1/4", the party hat paper to 2 1/2" x 6", and a piece of smooth white cardstock to 2 1/2" x 3".  On the piece of smooth white cardstock I blended on Distress Oxide Ink Twisted Citron, and used Salty Ocean for the blue splatters.  I used a banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of silver glitter paper.  

Next, I stamped this super cute image of Newton and his birthday cake from the Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.  

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set, directly onto the paper in black pigment ink, and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card, adhering the layers together to match the sketch.  I cut the banner in half to make it long enough and adhered the next layer on top of it.  Then, I popped up the image with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge - Color Challenge Week 4

 Hi everyone!  This is Week 4 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Cherry Red, Dreamy Turquoise, Buttery Brown, and White.  You have until Friday, January 31st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the paper I wanted to use for my background from the Love and Meows Paper Pad.  I then die cut the paper using the Fractured Card Layout Die.  I used the same die to cut a piece of turquoise paper.

Next, I stamped this super cute image of the pup and his bone from the Puppy Heart Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I then stamped the sentiment, which is from the Puppy Heart Stamp Set, directly onto the image in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card using turquoise cardstock for the base and adhered the images with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge - Color Challenge Week 3

 Hi everyone!  This is Week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Cherry Red, Dreamy Turquoise, Buttery Brown, and White.  You have until Friday, January 31st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the paper I wanted to use for my background from the Love and Meows Paper Pad.  I then used the Postage Stamp Layout Die to cut out the white postage stamp frames and kraft paper for the "stamps."

Next, I stamped out all of these gorgeous images from the Valentine Postage Sampler Stamp Set.  I colored all of the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I assembled my card, adhering the layers together, and using foam tape to pop up the images for some dimension!  

I then used brown pigment ink to stamp a few of the little sentiments from the Valentine Postage Sampler Stamp Set around the images.

Inky Paws Challenge - Color Challenge Week 2

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 2 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Cherry Red, Dreamy Turquoise, Buttery Brown, and White.  You have until Friday, January 31st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the paper I wanted to use for the background from the Lovely Hearts Paper Pad and cut it to A2 size.

Next, I used the Charming Hearts Frame Die to cut out the turquoise frame and hearts.  I used the same die to cut out red glitter and white glitter paper to fill in some of the hearts.

I used the XOXO die from the Valentine Word Trio Die Set for the sentiment.  I die cut it three times, using turquoise for the rectangle, red glitter paper for the X's, and white glitter paper for the O's.

I then assembled my card adhering all the pieces together with glue.  This card is a little different for me since I used all dies and did not color, but it was a lot of fun to make.  It is nice and easy if you need a quick Valentine card!

Inky Paws Challenge - Color Challenge Week 1

  Hi everybody and Happy New Year!  This is Week 1 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Cherry Red, Dreamy Turquoise, Buttery Brown, and White.  You have until Friday, January 31st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I used the Bokeh Balloons Stencil Set with Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass and Candied Apple on smooth white cardstock.  I then cut the cardstock with the A2 Card Layout Die Set.  I also cut a piece of kraft paper with the same die set to create the windows.

Next, I stamped this super cute image of Newton and the chocolate chip cookies from Newton's Cookie Jar Stamp Set.  I stamped the party hat from Newton's Cupcake Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers, and cut them out using their coordinating die sets. 

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Puppy's Cookie Jar Stamp Set, directly onto the cookie jar in black pigment ink.  

I assembled my card using a turquoise cardbase, and popped up the images with foam tape for some dimension!
