Inky Paws Challenge #247 - Holiday Sparkle and Shine Theme Week 2

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 2 of the December Inky Paws Challenge!  It is Holiday Sparkle and Shine Theme.  You have until Friday, December 19th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out this gorgeous snowflake paper I wanted to use for my background from the Snow Flurries Paper Pad and cut it out using the large scalloped rectangle from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I also chose this beautiful purple glitter paper, that matched perfectly, from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment.  I cut the glitter paper to 1 3/4" wide and used the scalloped rectangle die again to cut the outside edges.

I stamped the absolutely beautiful Snowflake Oval, and sentiment, onto blue cardstock and white heat embossed.  I then used the largest scalloped oval die in the Oval Frames Die Set to cut around the image.  

I assembled my card using blue cardstock for the base and popped up the oval with foam tape for some dimension!  I then added a cute white bow and a few sparkling sequins!

Inky Paws Challenge #247 - Holiday Sparkle and Shine Theme Week 1

  Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is Holiday Sparkle and Shine Theme.  You have until Friday, December 19th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the paper I wanted to use for my background from the Christmas Party Paper Pad and the green glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment.  I then used the Card Layout 4 Die to cut out the patterned paper and green glitter border. 

Next, I stamped this adorable image from Newton's Christmas Tree Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.  

I then used the small tag die from the Frames and Tags Die Set to cut out a piece of red cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Christmas Tree Stamp Set, onto the tag and white heat embossed. 

I assembled my card using red cardstock for the base and popped up the images and sentiment tag with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #246 - Sketch Challenge Week 4

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 4 of the November Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, November 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the patterned papers I wanted to use from the Christmas Party Paper Pad.  I die cut a piece of red cardstock using the large scalloped rectangle die from the A7 Frames and Banners Die Set.  I cut the green patterned paper with the largest tag die from the Essential Tags Die Set.  I then cut the holly patterned paper to 2 1/4 inches wide and used the large scalloped rectangle die again from the A7 Frames and Banners Die Set to cut the outside edges. 

I stamped this super cute image from the Holiday Post Stamp Set. I colored it with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

Next, I cut out a piece of white cardstock for the sentiment using the small banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Holiday Post Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  

I assembled my card according to the sketch using green cardstock for the base, adding a red and white bow to the tag, and popping up the image with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #246 - Sketch Challenge Week 3

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 3 of the November Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, November 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the patterned papers I wanted to use from the Birthday Time Paper Pad.  I die cut the cupcake patterned paper using the large scalloped rectangle die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I then cut the striped patterned paper to 1 3/4 inches wide and used the same die again to cut the outside edges.  I cut the sprinkle patterned paper with the second largest tag die from the Essential Tags Die Set.   

I stamped out this super cute image of Newton with his huge cupcake, sprinkles, and cherry from Newton's Cupcake Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  I then fussy cut around the sprinkles individually.

Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Cupcake Stamp Set, directly onto the cupcake wrapper with black pigment ink, and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card according to the sketch, using yellow glitter cardstock from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment for the base.  I added a pink bow to the tag, and popped up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

Next, I cut out a piece of white cardstock for the sentiment using the stitched fishtail banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Holiday Haul Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then inked the edges of the banner with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink. 

I assembled my card according to the sketch, adding a red bow on the tag, and popping up the image and sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!

I stamped this adorable image from Heartfelt Woofs and colored it using copic markers.  I cut it out using the largest scalloped frame die from the Heart Frames Die Set. 

Next, I cut out a piece of white cardstock for the sentiment using the stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from Heartfelt Woofs, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card according to the sketch, adding a matching twine bow on the tag, and popping up the sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension.

Inky Paws Challenge #245 - Color Challenge Week 4

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 4 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Holiday Red, Pop of Pink, Evergreen, and Arctic Blue.  You have until Friday, October 31st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out a piece of patterned paper I wanted to use for my background from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad and die cut it using the Fractured Card Layout Die.  I then used the same die to cut out the light blue frame.

I stamped out this beautiful image from the Christmas Cactus Stamp Set.  I colored it with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

Next, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Christmas Cactus Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then inked the edges of the banner with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.

I assembled my card using light blue cardstock for the base.  I tucked the end of the cactus under the frame and popped up the sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!
