Inky Paws Challenge #243 - Sketch Challenge Week 4

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 4 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, August 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out all of the papers I wanted to use for the background from the Birthday Woofs Paper Pad.  I then used the Card Layout 4 Die to cut out the patterned papers and the silver glitter border.

Next, I stamped out this super cute image from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using one of the tag dies from the Frames and Tags Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then inked the edges of the tag with a little bit of purple ink.

I assembled my card to match the sketch using blue cardstock for the base, and popped up the image and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, a little bit of glitter and glossy accents, and a few sparkling sequins!  I also added a little purple bow to the sentiment tag!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #243 - Sketch Challenge Week 3

 Hi everyone!  This is Week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, August 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out all of the papers I wanted to use for the background from the Farmyard Paper Pad.  I then used the Card Layout 4 Die to cut out the patterned papers and the kraft paper border. 

Next, I stamped out this cute rooster image from Cluck Stamp Set.  I colored him with copic markers and cut him out using the coordinating die set.  I then used the Tractor Die Set to make this adorable tractor, and used yellow glitter cardstock from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment for the yellow parts of the tractor.

I die cut a piece of white cardstock for the sentiment using a stitched circle from the Circle Frames Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Cluck Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then inked the edges of the circle with a little bit of brown ink.

I assembled my card using brown cardstock for the base and popped up the rooster and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #243 - Sketch Challenge Week 2

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 2 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, August 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out all of the papers I wanted to use from the Seaside Paper Pad.  I then used the awesome new Card Layout 4 Die to cut out the patterned papers and the gray border. 

Next, I stamped out this super cute image of Newton from Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp Set.  I colored him with copic markers and cut him out using the coordinating die set.

I then used the stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set to cut out a navy sentiment banner.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp Set, and white heat embossed.

I assembled my card using navy cardstock for the base and popped up the image with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #243 - Sketch Challenge Week 1

 Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, August 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out all of the papers I wanted to use from the Coffee Shop Paper Pad.  I then used the awesome new Card Layout 4 Die to cut out the patterned papers and the teal border.  

I then used the Thanks a Latte Die Set to create the sentiment.  I used the shadow die to cut out a piece of brown cardstock and cut the sentiment out of teal cardstock to match my border.  

I assembled my card using brown cardstock for the base and popped up the sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #242 - Color Challenge Week 4

 Hi everyone!  This is Week 4 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Cotton Candy Pink, Orange Sherbet, Turquoise, and Royal Blue.  You have until Friday, August 1st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the Postage Stamp Layout Die.  I then used Distress Oxide Ink Kitsch Flamingo to blend some pink onto the little rectangles, and adhered them, along with the postage stamp frame, to light blue cardstock for my background.

Next, I stamped out these gorgeous images from the Succulent Garden Stamp Set.  I colored them with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Succulent Garden Stamp Set, onto the top middle rectangle in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card using dark blue cardstock for the base, and popped up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #242 - Color Challenge Week 3

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Cotton Candy Pink, Orange Sherbet, Turquoise, and Royal Blue.  You have until Friday, August 1st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I used the scalloped frame die from the A7 Frames and Banners Die Set to cut a piece of light blue cardstock.  I then used the Mugs Stencil with clear glitter paste to create a sparkling background!  Next, I used the rectangle stitched window frame die from the same die set to cut out the dark blue window frames.  

I then stamped out these gorgeous images from the Never Enough Books Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  

Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Never Enough Books Stamp Set, onto dark blue cardstock and white heat embossed.  I then fussy cut around the sentiment.

I assembled my card using dark blue cardstock for the base, popping up the images and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #242 - Color Challenge Week 2

 Hi everyone!  This is Week 2 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Cotton Candy Pink, Orange Sherbet, Turquoise, and Royal Blue.  You have until Friday, August 1st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I used the Tropical Leaves Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Kitsch Flamingo and Dried Marigold on smooth white cardstock to create the background.  I then die cut it using the Fractured Card Layout Die. 

I stamped out this adorable jeep from the Beach Bound Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

Next, I die cut a banner for the sentiment using the stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Beach Bound Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then blended on some Kitsch Flamingo around the edges.  

I assembled my card using light blue cardstock for the base, and popped up the jeep and sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!
