Inky Paws Challenge #254 - Color Challenge Week 1

 Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Pool Blue, Tangerine, Sunny Yellow, and White.  You have until Friday, July 31st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I used the Confetti Stencil with smooth white cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, and Salty Ocean.  I then cut it out using the Card Layout 4 Die.  I used the same die again to cut the frame using a piece of orange glitter cardstock from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment.  

Next, I stamped out this super cute image of Newton and the party hat from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I then used the stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set to cut a piece of blue cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set, and white heat embossed.

I assembled my card using blue cardstock for the base, and popped up the image and sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension.  

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, glossy accents on Newton's nose, and a few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Color Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #243 - Sketch Challenge Week 4

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 4 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, August 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out all of the papers I wanted to use for the background from the Birthday Woofs Paper Pad.  I then used the Card Layout 4 Die to cut out the patterned papers and the silver glitter border.

Next, I stamped out this super cute image from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using one of the tag dies from the Frames and Tags Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then inked the edges of the tag with a little bit of purple ink.

I assembled my card to match the sketch using blue cardstock for the base, and popped up the image and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, a little bit of glitter and glossy accents, and a few sparkling sequins!  I also added a little purple bow to the sentiment tag!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #231 - Sketch Challenge

 Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #231 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, September 13th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

To start this card I picked out the papers I wanted to use from the Love and Meows Paper Pad.  I then cut them to match the sketch.  

I stamped out this super cute image of Newton from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

Then, I used a stitched circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set to cut out a piece of white cardstock for the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Newton Celebrates Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card following the sketch and popped up the image and sentiment circle with foam tape for some dimension!

Newton Celebrates!

 Hi All!  Today I am sharing a Newton party scene I made for Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #130 - Create a Scene, and my parent's Anniversary.  I colored all of the Newtons to resemble their kitties.  They have four, so one is going inside the card!

I started this card off by creating the background.  I used purple tape to mask off the top portion of the card and inked up the floor with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink.  I then used Newton's Nook Designs Hardwood stencil with Vintage Photo.  I removed the purple tape from the top portion of the card and masked off my floor.  I used Distress Oxide Inks Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac for the top portion of the background.  I then used NND Confetti stencil with Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet. 

Next, I stamped out the super cute images from Newton Celebrates and Newton's New Year stamp sets.  I also used a party hat from the Newton Loves Cake stamp set.  I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies.  I used a sentiment from NND Birthday Roundabout stamp set, and a banner from NND Banner Trio die set.  I gold heat embossed the sentiment then rubbed the embossing ink pad along the edges, dipping them into the embossing powder as well.  I love the look of the gold heat embossed edges!  I attached all of the images to the background with liquid glue and foam tape for dimension!
