Inky Paws Challenge - Sketch Challenge Week 2

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 2 of Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, November 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the curved edge rectangle die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I then used the Pumpkin Patch Stencil with Distress Oxide Ink Antique Linen to create the background.

Next, I stamped out these gorgeous images from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set, onto a piece of orange cardstock and white heat embossed.  I then fussy cut around the sentiment.

Next, I cut a strip of kraft paper to match the sketch, then assembled my card using an orange cardbase.  I popped up the main image and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension! 

For finishing touches on this card, I added accents with a white gel pen and a little glitter!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #207 - Sketch Challenge

  Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #207 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, September 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

I started this card by cutting 1 inch strips of patterned paper from the Autumn Paper Pad.  I then aligned them diagonally and adhered them to a piece of paper that is approximately 5 3/4" x 3 3/4".

Next, I stamped this super cute image of Newton from the Newton Makes Plans Stamp Set.  I colored the image with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.  I stamped the leaf image from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set, colored it in fall colors, and fussy cut it out.

I die cut a piece of kraft paper using the Oval Frames Die Set, stamped the sentiment, which is from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set, in brown pigment ink, and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card using a brown cardbase measuring 6 1/2" x 5".  I used foam tape to pop up the oval for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, and a few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Newton's Nook Designs Featured Guest Post

 Hi everybody!  This week Newton's Nook Designs is featuring their IPC Challenge Design Team all week on their blog!  All week the IPC Design Team members will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite Newton's Nook Designs products!  Check out what I created today and don't forget to check the NND Blog each day this week for more fun inspiration!

I started this card by die cutting a piece of kraft cardstock with the scalloped frame die from the Frames Squared Die Set.  I used the Falling Leaves Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Candied Apple and Mustard Seed to create the background.

Next, I used the small stitched frame die from the Frames Squared Die Set to cut a piece of cream colored cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set in brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed.

I stamped the images of the lady with the coffee cup, pumpkin, and leaves from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.  I colored them with copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  I stamped the large coffee cup image from the Fall-ing for You Stamp Set, colored it with copics as well, and fussy cut it out.

I assembled my card, die cutting a brown cardbase using the large stitched frame die from the Frames Squared Die Set.  I adhered the layers together and popped up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #181 - Fall Theme Reminder Post

 Hi everyone!  This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post.  This is Inky Paws Challenge #181 - Fall Theme.  You have until Friday, September 9th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

I started this card by die cutting a piece of kraft cardstock with the scalloped frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I used the Falling Leaves Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Candied Apple and Mustard Seed to create the background.

I stamped the image from the Signs of Fall Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I then stamped the "pumpkin patch" sentiment with arrow onto the sign.  Next, I stamped the image of the lady with pumpkins from the Pumpkin Latte Stamp Set.  I colored her with copics as well, and cut her out using the coordinating die set.  

I used the stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set to cut a sentiment banner.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Fall Roundabout Stamp Set, and cream heat embossed.  

I assembled my card using brown cardstock for the base, and foam tape to pop up the images and sentiment banner for some dimension!
