Hi everybody! A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today! This is Inky Paws Challenge #198 - Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, May 26th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
For this fun sketch I created a 5" x 6 1/2" card. I started by choosing three different patterned papers from the A Cat's Life Paper Pad. I cut each strip to 3 1/4" x 1". I then used the smallest scalloped oval die from the Oval Frames Die Set to cut a piece of light gray cardstock.
I stamped this adorable image from the Newton Unwinds Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.
I stamped the sentiment and heart, which are from the Newton Unwinds Stamp Set, directly onto the oval in black pigment ink, and clear embossed for some shine!
I assembled my card using dark gray cardstock for the base, and inked the edges with black ink. I used foam tape to pop up the oval for some dimension!
For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, glossy accents to Newton's cute little nose, and a few sparkling sequins!
