Hi everybody! A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today! This is Inky Paws Challenge #177 - Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, July 15th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop! I just love the Newton's Nook Paper Pads and thought this challenge would be a perfect chance to use them!
To start this card I picked out all of the papers I wanted to use from the Coffee House Stories Paper Pad and cut them to match the Sketch.
Next, I stamped out this super cute image of Newton with his coffee cup from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set. I added the heart, which is included in the set, to the coffee sleeve so it would match the paper that Newton is on! I colored the image with Copic markers, and die cut it out using the coordinating die set.
I die cut a sentiment banner out of kraft cardstock using a fishtail banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set. I stamped the sentiment, which is also from the Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set, in brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!
I assembled my card adhering all of the layers together, then used foam tape to adhere and pop up Newton and the sentiment banner.
For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glossy accents on Newton's nose, and a few sparkling sequins! I start my morning with coffee-- usually a Mocha Cherry - or Mocha Mocha - which I make at home so I don't have a ton of sugar in it -- so any coffee creation is an eye catcher for me - I personally like Newton Nook Stamps, papers and dies - so this a favorite card - TFS
