Hi everybody! This is an Inky Paws Challenge #167 - Color Challenge reminder post! The colors are Sunny Yellow, Spring Green, Taffy Pink, and White. You have until Friday, February 25th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
To start this card I cut a textured pink 5" x 7" cardbase. Next, I used the scalloped frame die from the super awesome new A7 Frames & Banners Die Set to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock on which I used Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade and Kitsch Flamingo with the Petite Flowers Stencil to create a colorful, floral background.
I stamped out the adorable images of the mice from the Garden Mice Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating die set. The ladybug and two matching butterflies are from the Gnome Garden Stamp Set, and the butterfly flying to the left in the top window is from the Newton's Picnic Stamp Set.
Next, I die cut the pink windows using the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set, and assembled my card. I adhered the floral background to the cardbase, then adhered the windows and images to my card with foam tape for some dimension! I then stamped the sentiment, from the Garden Mice Stamp Set, right onto my background with black pigment ink.
For finishing touches on this card I added white gel pen accents, glitter to the butterflies, glossy accents to the ladybug, and a few sparkling sequins! Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Color Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Hope to see you there!
