Hi everyone! This is a reminder post for Inky Paws Challenge #165 - Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, January 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
To start my card I cut a piece of blue cardstock to 6 1/2" x 5" for my cardbase. For the layers, I cut a piece of silver glitter cardstock to 4 3/4" x 3 1/4", and a piece of smooth white cardstock to 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" on which I blended Distress Oxide Inks Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Blueprint Sketch. I then splattered my ink blended piece with white paint and set it aside to dry. I used the stitched fishtail banner from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of silver glitter cardstock.
After the white paint on my ink blended piece had dried, I stamped these absolutely gorgeous snowflakes from the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set and white embossed. I used the stitched fishtail banner from the Banner Trio Die Set to cut a blue banner on which I white heat embossed the sentiment. I cut the banner down using the same die for a better fit on my card, then white heat embossed the edges.
With all of the pieces ready, I assembled my card layering the cardstock and popping up the sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!
