Hi everyone! A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today! It is a Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, May 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
To start this card I picked out the papers I wanted to use for the background from the Seaside Paper Pad. The card measures 5" x 6.5". The turtle pattern paper is cut to 5" x 3", the sand dollar paper is cut to 2.5" x 5.5", and the red crab paper is cut with the small banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set. I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock to 2.5" x 3", then blended on Distress Oxide Inks Speckled Egg and Tumbled Glass, and splattered the piece with the same colors as well.
Next, I stamped out this adorable image from Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp Set. I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.
I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Sand Dollar Stamp Set, directly onto the paper in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!
I assembled my card using navy cardstock for the base and popped up the image with foam tape for some dimension!
For finishing touches on this card I added glitter to the sand dollar, glossy accents on Newton's nose and toe beans, and a few sparkling sequins!
