Hi everyone! This is Week 3 of the February Inky Paws Challenge! It is a Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, February 27th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
To start this card I picked out the papers I wanted to use from the Pastel Basics Paper Pad. This card measures 5" x 6.5". The pink gingham paper is cut to 5" x 3", the purple polka dot paper is cut to 3" x 3" and the yellow striped paper is cut to 2.75" x 1.75". The white paper is all cut to one quarter inch larger on each side to create a border around the patterned papers.
I stamped this beautiful image from the Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set, colored it with copic markers, and cut it out using the coordinating die set.
Next, I cut a piece of teal cardstock using one of the tag dies from the Frames and Tags Die Set. I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set, and white heat embossed.
I assembled my card according to the sketch, using teal cardstock for the base, and popping up the image with foam tape for some dimension!
For finishing touches on this card I added a little bow to the sentiment tag and a few sparkling sequins! Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Hope to see you there!
