Inky Paws Challenge #228 - Sketch Challenge

  Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #228 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, August 2nd to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

I started this card by cutting patterned papers from the Pastel Basics Paper Pad to match the Sketch.  I used a 5" x 7" teal cardbase, and cut the pink piece to 1.75" x 5.75", the purple piece to 2" x 4.5", and the yellow piece to 5" x 1.5".  I then cut a piece of white cardstock to 3" x 3.5". 

Next, I stamped out these super cute images from Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  I then used a few of the smaller stamps from the set to create a background on the 3" x 3.5" piece of white cardstock.

For the sentiment, I die cut a piece of teal cardstock with a small tag die from the Frames and Tags Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set, and white heat embossed.

I assembled my card following the Sketch, and popped up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen and some glitter!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!
