Hi everybody! A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today! This is Inky Paws Challenge #188 - Color Challenge. The colors are Teal, Kraft, Silver, and White. You have until Friday, December 16th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
I started this card by die cutting a piece of smooth white cardstock with the scalloped frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set. I made a mask for the ink blending by die cutting a piece of vellum with the same scalloped frame die, then die cut the center out of the vellum using the stitched rectangle die from the Frames and Flags Die Set. I placed the vellum mask on top of the smooth white cardstock and blended on Distress Oxide Inks Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. I then splattered the ink blending with white paint and set it aside to dry.
After the paint had dried, I placed the background in my Misti, and arranged the snowflakes and sentiment from the Beautiful Blizzard Stamp Set. I stamped all of the images and sentiment at once and silver heat embossed.
I used foam tape to adhere the panel to a kraft cardbase for some dimension! I then added a crystal to the center of each snowflake!
