Hi everyone! A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today! This is Inky Paws Challenge #178 - Beach Theme. You have until Friday, June 29th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
To start this card I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the large postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set. To create the background I used Layer 1 of the Retro Sun and Palms Stencil Set with Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, and Picked Raspberry. I then used Layer 2 with black pigment ink and let it dry for a few minutes before splattering the background with gold watercolor paint. I die cut a piece of kraft cardstock using the Land Borders Die Set, then splattered it with all different colors of watercolor paint to create the sand!
I stamped this super cute doggie duo and shell from the Beach Barks Stamp Set, and the pail of sand from the Newton's Summer Vacation Stamp Set. I colored them all with Copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die sets.
I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Beach Barks Stamp Set, directly onto the background in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!
I assembled my card using a patterned paper from the Summertime Paper Pad as my cardbase. I popped up all of the images with foam tape for some dimension!
For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, glitter, and glossy accents! Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a Beach Theme project using your Newton's Nook Designs products! Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Hope to see you there!
