Hi everybody! This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post! This is Inky Paws Challenge #177 - Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, July 15th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop! I love the Newton's Nook Paper Pads and thought this challenge would be a perfect chance to use them!
To start this card I picked out all of the papers I wanted to use from the Summertime Paper Pad and cut them to match the Sketch.
Next, I stamped out this adorable image of Newton with his ukulele from the Aloha Newton Stamp Set. I colored the image with Copic markers, and die cut it out using the coordinating die set.
I die cut a sentiment banner out of white cardstock using a fishtail banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set. I stamped the sentiment, which is also from the Aloha Newton Stamp Set, in bright pink ink to match the bright pink hibiscus flowers on the paper!
I assembled my card adhering all of the layers together, then used foam tape to adhere and pop up Newton and the sentiment banner.
For finishing touches on this card I added a few white gel pen accents, glossy accents on Newton's nose, glitter to the flowers, and a few sparkling sequins! Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Hope to see you there!
