Hi everyone! This is an Inky Paws Challenge reminder post! You have until Friday, November 5th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop! This is Inky Paws Challenge #160 - Cozy Plaid Theme. I love curling up with a blanket and a book in the fall so I thought this stamp set went perfectly with the theme!
I started this card by cutting a piece of paper bag cardstock to A2 size for my cardbase. Next, I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock with the large postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set. I taped off the top portion of my white cardstock and inked up the bottom portion with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink. I placed the Hardwood Stencil over it, and used Vintage Photo to make the floor! I then taped off the floor, and used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink with Plaid #1 from the Plaid Stencil Set, and Mustard Seed with the Plaid #2 stencil from the set.
Next, I stamped these adorable kitties with their books from Newton's Book Club Stamp Set, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating die set.
I used the fishtail banner die from the Slimline Frames and Windows Die Set to cut a white banner. I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed it for some shine! I inked the edges of the banner with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink.
I assembled my card by adhering the background to the paper bag cardbase, and used foam tape to adhere the sentiment banner and my images for some dimension!
For finishing touches on this card I added white gel pen accents, glitter with a glitter pen, and glossy accents to the kitty's glasses and their noses!
