Inky Paws Challenge #202 - Summer Lovin' Theme

 Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #202 - Summer Lovin' Theme.  You have until Friday, July 21st to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  

To start this card I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the scalloped frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I then used the Retro Sun and Palms Stencil Set to create the background.  For the sun I blended Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry.  For the palm trees I used black glitter paste to give them some sparkle!

Next, I stamped out these gorgeous images from the Aloha Newton Stamp Set, colored them with copic markers, and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

  

After the palm trees were dry, I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Aloha Newton Stamp Set, directly onto the background in black pigment ink.  I clear heat embossed the sentiment for some shine!

I assembled my card using teal cardstock for the base.  I used the Land Borders Die Set to cut a piece of gold glitter paper for the sand, and popped up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen and glossy accents on Newton's cute little nose!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a Summer Lovin' Theme project using your Newton's Nook Designs products!  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!
