Hi everyone! A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today! This is Inky Paws Challenge #165 - Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, January 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
To start my card I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock to 6 1/2" x 5" on which I blended Distress Oxide Inks Salvaged Patina, Kitsch Flamingo, and Shaded Lilac. I then splattered white paint on my ink blended panel. After the paint had dried, I used the Snowfall Stencil with glitter paste to create a sparkling snowy background!
For the layers, I cut a piece of teal cardstock to 4 3/4" x 3 1/4", and a piece of white glitter cardstock to 4 1/4" x 2 3/4". I used the stitched fishtail banner from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of white glitter cardstock.
Next, I stamped this super cute image from the Snow Angel Puppy Stamp Set, colored it with Copic markers, and cut it out with the coordinating die. I also stamped the bird from the Festive Fawns Stamp Set, colored it, and cut it out with the coordinating die as well.
I used the smallest banner die in the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of teal cardstock on which I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Snow Angel Puppy Stamp Set.
With all of the pieces ready, I assembled my card layering the cardstock and popping up the pup, bird, and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!
For finishing touches on this card I added accents with a white gel pen, and glossy accents to the pup's nose and bird's beak! Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Hope to see you there!
