Inky Paws Challenge #164 - Color Challenge

 Hi everyone and Happy New Year!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is a Color Challenge.  The colors are Candy Red, Cream, Cocoa Brown, and Pewter Gray.  You have until Friday, January 14th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I cut a piece of smooth white cardstock to A2 size.  I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to ink up the edges for my cardbase.  I then used the scalloped edge die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of cream colored cardstock.  I used the Mugs Stencil with Vintage Photo to create the background.  I used the largest smooth stitched circle from the Circle Frames Die Set to cut a piece of cardstock and inked it up with Vintage Photo.  

Next, I stamped out the super cute image of Newton and the coffee beans from the Newton's Mug Stamp Set, and the coffee cups from the Love Cafe Stamp Set.  I colored all of my images with Copic markers and cut them out with their coordinating dies.  

I cut a banner for my sentiment using a banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I used Distress Oxide Ink - you guessed it! - Vintage Photo, to stamp the sentiment from the Time for Coffee Stamp Set, and to ink the edges of the banner as well. 

I assembled the layers of my card using foam tape to pop up the images and sentiment banner. 

For finishing touches on my card I added accents with a white gel pen, and glossy accents.  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Color Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!
