Inky Paws Challenge #156 - Sketch Challenge Reminder

Hi everyone!  Here is an Inky Paws Challenge Reminder Post!  This is Inky Paws Challenge #156 - Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, September 10th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!  I was excited to use this stamp set because I don't use solid stamps that often.  It was so much fun and I hope to use some again soon!

Cultivated Cacti Stamp and Die Set, Hardwood Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook #handmade

To start this card I die cut a textured blue cardbase to 5" x 7", and also die cut a smaller piece of smooth white cardstock.  I taped off the top portion of the smooth white cardstock, and inked the bottom with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink.  I then used the Hardwood Stencil with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to create a floor.  Next, I taped off my stenciled portion and inked the background with  Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink then splattered it with silver watercolor.

As my background was drying, I stamped out these gorgeous solid images from the Cultivated Cacti Stamp Set, and cut them out with their coordinating die set.

With the background dry, I attached a white ribbon and bow, and used foam tape to pop up my cacti for some dimension!  I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink, and used foam tape to adhere my cacti panel to the cardbase!

For a finishing touch on this card I added few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!
