Inky Paws Challenge #246 - Sketch Challenge Week 3

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 3 of the November Inky Paws Challenge!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, November 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the patterned papers I wanted to use from the Birthday Time Paper Pad.  I die cut the cupcake patterned paper using the large scalloped rectangle die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I then cut the striped patterned paper to 1 3/4 inches wide and used the same die again to cut the outside edges.  I cut the sprinkle patterned paper with the second largest tag die from the Essential Tags Die Set.   

I stamped out this super cute image of Newton with his huge cupcake, sprinkles, and cherry from Newton's Cupcake Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  I then fussy cut around the sprinkles individually.

Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is from Newton's Cupcake Stamp Set, directly onto the cupcake wrapper with black pigment ink, and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card according to the sketch, using yellow glitter cardstock from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment for the base.  I added a pink bow to the tag, and popped up the images with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card, I added accents with a white gel pen, a little bit of glitter on the sprinkles, glossy accents on Newton's nose, and a few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sketch Challenge using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #246 - Sketch Challenge Week 1

 Hi everyone!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is a Sketch Challenge.  You have until Friday, November 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I picked out the patterned papers I wanted to use from the Birthday Time Paper Pad.  I die cut a piece of light blue cardstock using the large scalloped rectangle die from the A7 Frames and Banners Die Set.  I cut the blue patterned paper with the largest tag die from the Essential Tags Die Set.  I then cut the balloon patterned paper to 2 1/4 inches wide and used the large scalloped rectangle die again from the A7 Frames and Banners Die Set to cut the outside edges. 

I stamped this adorable image from Heartfelt Woofs and colored it using copic markers.  I cut it out using the largest scalloped frame die from the Heart Frames Die Set. 

Next, I cut out a piece of white cardstock for the sentiment using the stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from Heartfelt Woofs, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card according to the sketch, adding a matching twine bow on the tag, and popping up the sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension.
