Hi everybody! A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today! It is a Sketch Challenge. You have until Friday, February 28th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!
This card is 5" x 7" and to start, I picked out the papers I wanted to use from the Birthday Party Paper Pad. I cut the green confetti paper to 5" x 3 1/4", the party hat paper to 2 1/2" x 6", and a piece of smooth white cardstock to 2 1/2" x 3". On the piece of smooth white cardstock I blended on Distress Oxide Ink Twisted Citron, and used Salty Ocean for the blue splatters. I used a banner die from the Frames and Flags Die Set to cut a piece of silver glitter paper.
Next, I stamped this super cute image of Newton and his birthday cake from the Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set. I colored the image with copic markers and cut it out using the coordinating die set.
I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Newton Loves Cake Stamp Set, directly onto the paper in black pigment ink, and clear heat embossed for some shine!
I assembled my card, adhering the layers together to match the sketch. I cut the banner in half to make it long enough and adhered the next layer on top of it. Then, I popped up the image with foam tape for some dimension!
