Inky Paws Challenge #241 - Sunny Days Theme Week 3

 Hi everybody!  This is Week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is Sunny Days Theme.  You have until Friday, June 27th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I die cut a piece of light blue cardstock with the scalloped frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I then used the Seashells Stencil with glitter paste to make a sparkling background!  

I stamped out the seashell image from the Seashell Roundabout and the girl from the Summer Moments Stamp Set.  I colored all of the images with copic markers.  I used the largest scalloped circle from the Circle Frames Die Set to cut out the image of the shells, and the Summer Moments Die Set to cut out the girl.

Next, I used a stitched fishtail banner die from the Banner Trio Die Set to cut out a piece of teal cardstock for my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Seashell Roundabout, and white heat embossed.  

I assembled my card using a teal cardbase, and popped up the girl and sentiment banner with foam tape for some dimension!

For finishing touches on this card, I added accents with a white gel pen and a few sparkling sequins!  Now it's time to get your paws inky creating a project for the Sunny Days Theme using your Newton's Nook Designs products.  Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge!  Hope to see you there!

Inky Paws Challenge #241 - Sunny Days Theme Week 2

 Hi everyone!  This is Week 2 of the Inky Paws Challenge!  It is Sunny Days Theme.  You have until Friday, June 27th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card I die cut a piece of smooth white cardstock using the scalloped frame die from the Frames and Flags Die Set.  I then blended on some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink.  Next, I used the Sunscape Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade for the sun and sunrays, and Tea Dye for the sand.  I then splattered on some gold watercolor paint and set it aside to dry.

I stamped out this adorable image of Newton and his drink from the Aloha Newton Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.  The shells are from the Summer Moments Stamp Set.  I colored them with my copics as well, and cut them out with their coordinating die set.

Next, I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Aloha Newton Stamp Set, directly onto the background in brown pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!  I then used the Retro Sun and Palms Stencil Set to add in the seagulls using white pearl paste. 

I assembled my card using dark kraft paper for my cardbase, and foam tape to pop up Newton and his drink for some dimension!

Inky Paws Challenge #241 - Sunny Days Theme Week 1

 Hi everybody!  A new Inky Paws Challenge starts today!  It is Sunny Days Theme.  You have until Friday, June 27th to get your entries in and have a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop!

To start this card, I picked out the cloud paper for my background from the Springtime Paper Pad and cut it to A2 size.  I then used the Lattice Die to cut a piece of smooth white cardstock and lightly blended on some Weathered Wood Distress Oxide Ink.

Next, I stamped out these gorgeous images from the Floral Delights Stamp Set.  I colored the images with copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

I then used the ticket shape die from the Framework Die Set to cut out a piece of white cardstock, and blended some Weathered Wood on it as well.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Floral Delights Stamp Set, in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed for some shine!

I assembled my card, tucking the flowers into the lattice, and popping up the butterflies, bee, and sentiment with foam tape for some dimension!
